Good therapy is a blend of art and science. There is a need to understand there are certain facts out in the world, but the meaning we give to the world we inhabit is infinitely more complex. In therapy, establishing a sense of safety is paramount, as it is only from a safe place that we can feel confident to explore more challenging terrain. Additionally, there is a need to implement what is learnt in weekly sessions into day-to-day living in the world. Taking ideas and making them real is fundamental to what we try to do.
